10th Annual James Lockard Memorial Golf Tournament, all of the proceeds raised benefit ATC.

As of this week 07/30/23, ATC has donated $110,000 back to KC Metro area first responders and their families, in 2023. This is a number we usually reach over a 12 month period and we’ve hit it, in 7 short months.

Our fundraising events are critical to our mission and the support of this community is unbelievable. I look forward to seeing all of you that get a team registered for this awesome golf tournament and join us in remembering and honoring the life of Independence Police Officer James Lockard!

The James Lockard Memorial Golf Tournament was established in 2013 in memory of Independence Police Officer James Lockard who passed away following a horrific hunting accident. Answering the Call was founded in 2015 to assist Lee’s Summit Police Officer Josh Ward as he battled a flesh eating disease that developed from a random virus.The James Lockard Memorial Golf Tournament solely partners with Answering the Call to provide support to first responders and their families in their times of greatest need.

Answering the Call is a 501C3 first responder charity that gives 100% of all donations received to first responders and/or their families in times of need. This includes all levels of law enforcement, firefighters, and emergency medical technicians (EMT’s).
In 2021 ATC donated $100,000 back to the KC metro area first responder community. In 2022 the theme continued, and ATC donated $110,000 to those men and women who serve and protect our community, after they suffered a severe injury, or after they were diagnosed with a rare and aggressive illness. 2023 has been a year of tragedy, in the first five months of this year, ATC has donated over $105,000 to our Missouri and Kansas first responder community. In an 8 week period, we had 8 Officers shot in three separate incidents. ATC quickly became involved with each of these events and within 15 hours of the shootings, these families received immediate financial assistance from ATC.

Since our inception in 2015, ATC has donated over $650,000 back to Missouri & Kansas First Responders and their families! This type of financial assistance isn’t possible without the continued support of our community, thank you for believing in our mission and supporting our community’s hero’s, during their time of need!
